Lighting Patterns

This blog is suppose to be in Day 4 but i can't find my shots until yesterday.

DIFFERENT LIGHTING PATTERNS FOR PORTRAIT:

Split Lighting

The subject has a strong light on one side that creates a shadow on the other side.
 Butterfly Lighting

The shadow creates a butterfly effect below the nose.

Loop Lighting

It is almost the same with Rembrandt the only difference is that the triangular shape's lines don't meet in the nose and cheeks.

And For our Activity this my kuya's shot

Food Photography

Mr. Rey ask us to group and bring some food for our lesson lighting a food and how to shot it for my first attempt this is the shot.
Then Sir Rey approach us and help us to set up for a better outcome of the shot.
Another Trick Sir Rey told us is that when you shoot a foos do not shoot as what your point of view you should find a unique view in order to make the shot more yummy in the eyes of the people.

Custom White Balance

We talked about white balance, it is used to get the colors in the image as accurate as possible. Also the Steps in How to set it up. If you are using custom white balance shoot something neutral.

I am using a Canon 650D Camera, and above is what white balance looks like in my camera.

  • Auto
  • Tungsten
  • Shade
  • Cloudy
  • Preset
  • Fluorescent
  • Flash
  • Custom

To do this custom white balance here are the steps:
  1.   Set to daylight
  2. Shoot a neutral color (White, Gray)
  3. Set Custom WB to that photo. (the one you just shot)
  4. Choose Custom WB in camera setting
  5. Take Photo
  6. Check if Custom WB is correct
REMEMBER: Choose a white balance that suits the ambiance of the place you are shooting.

Mr. Rey asked us to accomplish a complete set of Alphabet Photography. This project challenged my creatity, to see the world in a different way.  It is a challenge especially for Letter R . This Project made me see object in a whole new level.
